Massage from the Instructor

I’ve been painting with acrylics nearly my entire life, and when I discovered mandalas, I fell in love and have painted hundreds. The techniques involved in mandala painting are unlike anything I’ve used before, and it’s satisfying, even meditative, to make a mandala. In this workshop, I’ll introduce you to all the basic techniques and tools. I supply the tools, paint, and wooden 2D bunnies on which to make our magic. You get to choose the colors you like, or you can use the same colors I used in the example.

In the 3-hour workshop, you’ll have time to finish your bunny and take it home. When the workshop is over, you will have your bunny and the paint you used. For anyone wanting to continue painting mandalas, I will have beginner kits available for you to purchase that include everything you’ll need.

A traditional mandala is done in a circular shape, representing the Divine source of the universe and all within it. At the center of the universe, the Divine heart beats, energizing all in it. When we cease resisting what life throws at us and learn to go with the flow, our lives become balanced and symmetrical. Our bunnies won’t be the traditional mandala, but will employ all the color and symmetry of one.
