Program Description: "Meditation in motion", "Chinese ballet", "Yoga standing up"---theses are terms that have been used to describe Tai Chi. Tai Chi can help put your life in balance with deep breathing and slow, rhythmic movements designed to promote the interaction of mind, body and spirit. It has been proven to help relieve back pain, fibromyalgia, arthritic knees as well as improve balance, flexibility and muscle tone. In this course, beginning students will learn basic movements of Tai Chi and Qigong and returning students will refine their skills as all move toward higher levels of stress relief and improvement in overall health and mental well-being. Try this easy and satisfying exercise and get your Chi (inner energy) flowing!
